Staircases are required as a means of access to and from Mezzanine Floors. Newman Fabrications Ltd designs appropriate staircases into each project and provides advice regarding relevant building regulations.
All our staircases conform to the current building regulations approved document park K and part M for ambulant staircases.

As of October 2004, New legislations was introduced, which governed certain criteria for staircases. Considerations now have been given to existing and potential employees being physically impaired, so they can more freely around the workplace in safety. handrails
Handrail is a form of edge protection.
Newmans edge protection provides a functional and very neat system with a wooden/metal Kick Rail (optional extra). The 1120mm high square hallow section handrail posts are set at 1500mm centres and include tubular hand and knee rail.
Rails running through the centre of the posts giving a bolt free finish. The handrail is then sprayed to the customers requested colour to give a high durable finish.
